About Us
The Lighthouse Collective is a project building new pathways into the climate movement. Featuring space for artists and youth organizers, a guide program, and a growing map of connections to communities and community hubs across the city.
This project was initiated in fall 2022, after the City of Toronto invited Toronto Climate Action Network (TCAN)’s Co-Chairs to join the Tamarack Institute’s 10-month Climate Transitions Cohort. After the Tamarack workshop series, and learning about the collective impact approach to solving complex problems, the City proposed a collaboration project with the TCAN network and member organizations, focused on the key question “how can the City enable, equip, and empower community-led climate action to support the implementation of Toronto’s Net Zero Strategy?”
This work would not be possible without the support of our core partners, the Centre for Social Innovation, the Toronto Environmental Alliance, Youth Harbour, and the Canadian Community Challenge.
See our Guide page to learn about one of the ways we’re connecting people to climate organizations and communities taking action!
