Lighthouse Collective

Pathways into the climate movement

The Lighthouse Collective is a project building new pathways into the climate movement. Featuring space for artists and youth organizers, a guide program, and a growing map of connections to communities and community hubs across the city.

Our goal: Connecting people to projects, and projects to people.

Access to Space

Access to working and meeting space is a lever to building a broad coalition for change. Building partnerships, we are providing working and meeting space to youth and artists building alternative visions for the future. We currently have thirty youth climate organizers accessing space through the Youth Harbour Climate ShareSpace program.

Mapping and Guide Program

For folks interested in getting more involved in the climate movement but don’t know where to start, we have a Guide program to help connect them to opportunities for getting involved, and also to support organizations in their intake and onboarding efforts.

Building to Scale

The climate crisis is here, now. We are engaging community hubs across the city to support a network of community climate centres that work with their neighbours on projects that both reduce emissions and better prepare themselves for extreme weather.

Art & Connecting to the City

Beginning with a pilot program in Malvern, our partners are engaging communities outside the downtown core in collective visioning for their neighbourhoods.
